FOOTBALL: Alex Ferguson In The Firing Line Again
Alex Ferguson has ignored the FA in regards to their most recent charge on him, this time for praising referee Howard Webb. Ferguson said "We are getting the best referee no doubt about that. But (getting a bad decision) is definitely our big fear.". The FA had sent him a notice that he was being charged but Sir Alex ignored the written warning stating that managers must not discuss officals before a match. The club itself has now written to the FA and a hearing will now commence without Ferguson present. Sir Alex has recently returned to the touchline after a 5 match ban after discussing the appointment of referee Martin Atkinson following a 2 - 1 defeat to Chelsea. The Manchester United boss believes that the Football Association determined to make and example of him.
FOOTBALL: Road To The Final
Promotion chasing Swansea booked their place in the N Power Championship playoff final with a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest last night. Brendan Rogers' side have the chance to get back into playing top flight football for the first time in 28 years. Today their rivals Cardiff play Reading for the last spot in the final but who will it be. Both sides played out a goalless draw last week leaving it all to play for at the Cardiff City Stadium and with a south Wales derby in the offing be sure Cardiff will throw everything at the in-form Royals.
